President Obama and the children…

Posted by Gary on January 18, 2013

Ephesians 5:11 “Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them…”

imageOn Wednesday, we witnessed President Obama surround himself with children as he addressed the nation on the issue of gun violence. There are many words that might be used to describe the President’s use of these children including: opportunistic, political and exploitive. But, these words will not suffice. More accurate words would be: sinful, deceitful and wicked.

Let’s begin here…do the children that the President hid behind to shield himself from the scrutiny his actions deserve, understand with adult comprehension the matters that they wrote to the President about and that the President used to advance his Constitution trampling agenda? Certainly these children think it is terrible that other children were shot and killed as do we all. These children want shootings like this to stop and of course, children and adults alike concur.

But, do these children understand that there are matters involved here that pertain to the Constitution that must considered along with and even above our need to solve a problem? Do they understand that the President may have another, greater, motive in regard to gun laws beyond his displayed concern for children? In short, do these children understand that this matter and the motives of those involved are not as simple as, “We don’t want children to be shot”?

Quite simply, these children, who are children in their understanding and comprehension were used as pawns in a matter that is above them and beyond their current capacity to understand. This however did not deter the President for he sees these children as emotional leverage to accomplish his goals for who is going to say anything harsh to the President while he is surrounded by children? This quite simply was cowardice on the part of the President but to his advantage and he has no qualms about violating truth and decency in his aim to systematically dismantle the America that our forefathers established and that you and I have been blessed to lived in.

Well ok, let’s take the President on his terms…he obviously believes that these children are mature enough to come into adult realms and issues and that they should play a role in making adult decisions. I would ask the President since he feels these children are capable of such adult understanding and decisions if he has treated them like adults by being honest with them about his views concerning all children’s lives?

Follow me…the President would have the children he displayed and my children and the nation’s children believe that he is the hero of children, here is his statement from Wednesday, “This is our first task as a society, keeping our children safe. This is how we will be judged.”

However Mr. President, you don’t believe that all children should be kept safe do you? Since the children you surrounded yourself with are adult enough to come into these realms, did you tell them that you fully support the murder of the 3,000 children who were butchered in America on the day you held your press conference? The 3,000 the day before? That will be the day after and after? Did you tell these little ones that you ferociously support abortion and that to your mind, little ones in the womb do not deserve the same safety that you claim other children deserve?

Did you tell them sir, that in truth you view some children as punishments to be avoided and perhaps killed and not as blessings to protect?

“Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn’t make sense to not give them information.” (Then Senator Barack Obama at the Johnstown Pennsylvania town hall meeting)

A baby is a punishment? A baby and an STD referenced as the same thing? A punishment?

Mr. President, taking advantage of the trusting nature of children you assembled these little ones around you letting them in on only what you want them to know about you and even that with deception. Would you like these children to know that you are no average, run of the mill supporter of infant murder but that you even support the death of children who survive abortions? Yes, as a legislator in Illinois Barack Obama could not bring himself to even support legislation that would provide medical care for babies who survived an abortion. (Please take the time to read here, here and here).

Now dear reader, I wonder what you are thinking? Do you think me merely partisan and hostile when I suggest that that the President tell the children he surrounded himself with about his views on abortion? I am suggesting that he should tell them that there is a procedure called abortion through which babies have their bodies severed, are injected with fluids that burn their insides and in other procedures have had their brains suctioned out and that he fully supports these procedures. I am suggesting that the President tell them that even when one of these babies survives one of these murderous procedures he does not think they should receive medical attention and should be left to die.

What can we imagine the response of these children would be if they knew the President was an unequaled supporter of infant murder? Do you think they would have wanted to go stand with him and support him in his efforts? “But” some will certainly say, “It would not be right to tell these children all these details for they are just children and don’t understand all the issues related to abortion”. Now why must their comprehension level about abortion be considered but not in regard to the gun issue? Why is it right to appeal to their innocent nature about gun violence but not about infant murder? These children want children to live, do you think they would feel differently about the 8 week and six month old in a mother’s womb? Do you think these children would parse out human life with the same distinctions the President does? President Obama told us that if gun law changes would save one child’s life the changes would be worth it. How many lives would be saved if abortion was halted? Can we hope he will use executive orders to halt abortion?

Would you agree that it is deceptive for the President to let these children only know so much about his views on the safety of children but to keep concealed from them other details? Would you like someone to use you in this way?

Now let’s imagine we do tell these children everything about the President and his views on babies lives, what would their response be? Would it not be horror? Dismay? Would they not feel betrayed? (as they should). If we are willing to appeal to their child-like response to gun violence why not trust their judgment on abortion? Will you quickly say in regard to abortion that they are too young to understand? Are they too young or do they see the matter plainly and are adults the ones who are lying to themselves about infant murder? If we are going to let children lead us, let’s tell them about abortion and follow their advice after they have all the facts.

President Obama is no friend of children. He stands fully behind the slaughter of the 50 million who have died since Roe vs. Wade and yet, he would have these young children and the nation believe he is the champion of children and their safety. God-fearing people can only watch such dishonesty so long without saying something. I hope.

In his remarks the President played the preacher telling us that we would be judged in light of our efforts to keep children safe. I would ask him who he believes will judge us? We are going to be judged…ok, by whom?

Mr. President, when you said “judged” did you mean that God would judge us? Do you really believe that? Would you dare make reference to God as judge? 50 million babies who bear God’s image have been murdered in this country and you have pronounced your blessing upon their deaths and would you warn us about the judgment of God?

It grieves me that people I know and love voted for Barack Obama and seem quite glad that he is our President. Their reasons? He is for the worker, he supports unions, you know, their family have been Democrats forever, he supports gay marriage and I guess for some, perhaps they are glad too that babies can be murdered wholesale in our country. All these things apparently mean more to them than God’s truth and human life. I wonder if such people know they are going to have to answer to God someday for helping Barack Obama rise to the place of authority that he is now using for such great evil?

The scene of President Obama using children for his ends while he supports the murder of so many children was morally reprehensible. Yet, America is under the spell. Gun owners and second amendment advocates are the real evil doers. God help us. Even worse, those of us who plead for babies lives and call abortion murder and sin are painted as the extremists and the dangerous ones. Those who support mangling babies limb from limb and tossing them into trash cans are not extreme or dangerous but I guess I am. So be it.

America is teetering on the brink. Perhaps this is God’s judgment on us for our idolatry, atheism, materialism, sexual immorality and our refusal to halt abortion. Maybe our current leaders are a judgment upon us. We have loved evil and God has steeped us to the throat in it in those who govern us. We have tempted the devil and he has come to us and not one stone will be left on top of another of our nation and lives when he is through with us.

America, what will become of you? Reader, be certain of this, the Lord is coming to His holy temple and His winnowing fork is in His hand. Do you support President Obama and his views on infant murder? Then plan to stand with him on the Great Day. Are you going to bring up unions then? Repent!

Malachi 3:1-2  “Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the LORD of hosts. “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap.”

Christians, in all our anger and frustration we must remember that God has command us to pray for our leaders. I must confess my sin here for I have not done so with any consistency or fervency. Pray for President Obama. For all my anger at him for his ways, I do not wish hell upon him. God has had mercy upon me, a great sinner and I want everyone else to find that mercy also. Pray for all our leaders that God will bring them to know Him and give them hearts to do His will leading us in righteousness. Perhaps there is still time. Perhaps if we turn God will relent and spare us the justice we deserve from His hands.

1 Timothy 2:1-4  “First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,  for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,  who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Gary, it grieves me too that you feel that way about us too, God does not preach us to hate and judge others and that is what I see coming from those who dislike Obama..Very sad..You are entitled to your opinion and I love you very much….

    • Gary says:

Dear Mary, I love you too and I do not hate anyone. What is sad is that truth is regarded as hatred. I would say my dear cousin that when you say people are hating you are making a judgement about their hearts. How do you know they or I hate the President? It is always a marvel to me that people who accuse other people of judging do not see that they are doing the very same thing themselves when they accuse someone of judging. Such people do not have any problem with judging as long as they or someone they support are not judged.

What I wrote Mary is factual. I did not hear you say that it was untrue but that it is hateful and judging. Sometimes the truth hurts. There are things that are right and wrong and God is very concerned about them. God has given us His Word to tell us what right and wrong are. I am a great sinner and I know it. My claim is not that I am righteous and others are not but I am maintaining that there are things that are evil in God’s sight and many of our leaders embrace them. This leaves you and me to decide where we are going to stand. Does it trouble you that the President is a staunch advocate of infant murder? Does it trouble you that he did not even want babies who survived abortions to receive medical care? What do you agree with him about that is more important to you? I believe entirely in God’s forgiveness for those who seek it but those who persist in advocating evil must be spoken against. Did you notice the Bible verse at the top of my post from Ephesians 5? The Bible not only commands us to avoid evil but to expose it. Is abortion evil? Should it be exposed? My great concern isn’t to be thought nice, there are little ones who cannot speak for themselves and their lives mean more to me than being thought nice by anyone flesh and blood or not. I am sure many Germans in Germany did not really think that what was being done to the Jews was that wrong. But what do we think in hindsight? Many supporters of the President willfully close their eyes to what he supports and all the while he comes out and warns us that we will be judged if we don’t keep children safe.

Just so you know, I don’t give a damn about the Republican Party or Democrats. Ronald Reagan and both Bush Presidents did not act as they should have with their authority to bring an end to a national sin that should be halted. I am not a Bush man or Reagan man, all this means nothing to me. As for President Obama, measure his positions with God’s Word Mary, for it is God’s Word that we will all be judged by not our political persuasions.

As to Jesus…He did make clear to us what righteousness and unrighteousness is. The truh is not hateful, but keeping truth from people is and so is encouraging them in sin. I may love the President far more than his political supporters do for I am at least willing to speak truth to him. I am afraid that the Jesus of the Bible is not the Jesus that many say they believe in. For example a Jesus who said this:

Matthew 10:34-38 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

      Or this…

Matthew 10:16-22 “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

What Jesus makes clear is that belonging to Him and declaring His truth is costly and divides. It ultimately divides families and ultimately leads to persecution. Did you notice that Jesus said that His people will be dragged before kings for His sake? What do you think this is in reference to? Is it not about truth? Is it not clear that what God’s people have to say to rulers will be a condemnation of their ways? Do you believe that our government is seeking to honor God Mary? Do you believe their policies must be judged according to God’s standard? Does God turn His eyes away from what the President is doing? Does He want His people to stand by and say nothing about actions that harm others? This is not Christianity. I believe you belong to the Roman Catholic Church and if so, do you know what the church’s positions are on the President’s policies? Is the Catholic church and the Pope being hateful when they condemn abortion and homosexual marriage?

We must all choose where we are going to stand. If anything in our political party’s platform means more to us than God’s truth then woe to us.

If you think me hateful or judgemental I am sorry, I am not. As sinful as I am, truth matters to me. I believe there is a great day coming. I believe also that much of the evil that is taking place in our day is linked to the fact that we will not turn from our ways. Some of these sins came about under Republicans, some from Democrats, from my heart and yours, they are sins all the same. It is not my concern to be loyal to any party or leader or even my family but instead to God and His truth and I would urge you to join me in standing with God and His truth over a President or party.

      Love, Gary
