Blessed not punished

Posted by Gary on November 6, 2008

Psalm 127:3-5 “Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; they will not be ashamed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.”

image Our family is grateful to God for the gift He gave us this past Tuesday of a new daughter, Anna Grace. Anna is our sixth child and we are grateful to God for each one of them. We welcome you little Anna. May you come to know Christ the Savior. We pray that you will serve Him all your days and do His will. May you marry a man who knows and serves God and bear children for God’s glory.

You enter a world that is hostile toward God and for all its talk, toward children also but do not worry, your God is mighty and will prevail. In our eyes you are a gift and a blessing not a punishment.

On your behalf and on the behalf of all children we will go out to the gate to speak to God’s enemies to call them to repent and be reconciled to Him and we will not be ashamed.

Beautiful!! God has truly blessed. The first thing I thought of was that she looks like Josiah did when he was a baby.

Tina and I love you all and hope to see you soon.

Babies make my heart beat faster. They’re precious and beautiful. Praise the Lord for bringing another one into your life. What a blessing. Praise the Lord that He has given you six precious children to disciple and train in godliness.

    Alex and Bill,

Thank you for rejoicing with us. Children are called a gift of the Lord and my happiness is great that he would grant Alise and I a gift from His hand.
